University of Zurich supports development of Zurich Hub for Drug and Medical Device Development (ZH3D)
On July 8, 2025, the Executive Board oft he University of Zurich decided to provide financial support for ZH3D as a technology and development platform.
Scientists at the University of Zurich are conducting research on many promising drugs and medical products. To ensure that these new therapies and diagnostic methods reach sick people and animals quickly and safely, the ZH3D team provides targeted support to such projects. Their goal is to accelerate the development of customized products and ensure their quality so that they can be tested in clinical trials as soon as possible and subsequently put into use.
The university has decided to provide the necessary financial resources. This will also benefit existing university initiatives and infrastructures that are closely linked to drug and medical product development.
With this commitment, the University of Zurich is emphasizing its active participation in the further development of modern innovations and the importance of this project for its future research development and Zurich as a location.
